Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is an escape room?
A: Escape rooms are timed, room-size puzzles built around a story or theme. Come with a team or just a few close friends to challenge yourselves and see if you can beat the clock!
Q: How much is it to play?
A: Our rooms are $25 +tax/player and you have 60 minutes in the room -- but hopefully you don't need them all.
Q: The website says that the suggested number of players in a room is 2 - 6. Can we still play if we don't have that many?
A: All of our current games can be played with 2 -6 players. We recommend these numbers because we think would be ideal for solving all of our clues and making it out with time to spare. However, due to design, a game can not be played by one person.
Q: My group of friends is a little larger than the max capacity of the room we want to play, is it possible to make that work?
A: It really depends on the room and the group. Please contact us via email or phone and we will be happy to help figure it out!
Q: Can I book a room for my work group, class, or for a birthday party during the daytime?
A: Of course! We try to be very flexible and accommodating to daytime bookings. Call us to hear more about group rates and packages.
Q: I have children younger than 16 years old; can they play a Puzzled Escape Room?
A: We recommend ages 16+ due to the complexity of our puzzles, and occasional mature themes and content in our rooms. If accompanied by an adult, children younger than 16 can play. Children 6 and under can accompany an adult free of charge. Also, please note that all of our bookings are private, so whomever you book with is who you will play with; if your group is okay with young children in the room - so are we!
Q: Are your escape rooms hard?
A: Each of our rooms is designed to be a challenge, but they are not unbeatable! Every room is solvable if you work as a team, and if you are ever stumped, we are ready to give helpful hints along the way!
Q: Are your rooms scary?
A: No, our rooms are not intended to scare players. We do not have jump scares, although sometimes the accompanying story to a room may leave players with a sense of urgency.
Q: Are your rooms wheelchair accessible?
A: Our current location is on the second floor of a building with no elevator access so we are not - at this time - entirely accessible. When designing puzzles we are mindful of people of all abilities - if you have any feedback regarding how we can make our location and games more accessible please let us know! We are working toward making things accessible for everyone, and we appreciate your patience as we work to meet this goal.
Q: Am I going to feel claustrophobic?
A: Doubtful. Every room is comfortable, and you always have an emergency exit available to come and go as you please - just remember the game timer doesn't pause if you do take a break!
Q: Can I walk up and pay with cash or do I need to book online?
A: Absolutely! You can choose to either book online with a credit card, or in person at our location. We accept all major credit cards, debit and cash sales. If you do not have a credit card but would like to book in advance, give us a call and we will set you up!
Q: How early do I need to show up?
A: We ask that you show up 10-15 minutes early to make sure you group has time to be briefed on safety and start at your booked time.
Q: Can my young child play? Do I need to pay for a ticket for them?
A: Yes, anyone can play our rooms. Keep in mind they are designed for adults, so children under 10 may have trouble. Children 6 and under can accompany an adult free of charge. Also, please note that all of our bookings are private, so whomever you book with is who you will play with; if your group is okay with young children in the room - so are we!
Q: My child wants to have their birthday party at Puzzled Escape Rooms. Is it ok for them to play by themselves?
A: Children ages 10+ are welcome to have their birthday parties with us. However, is any of the players are under the age of 16, an adult must be on location for the duration of the game.
Q: Can I drink alcohol, vape, or smoke/chew tobacco in the room?
A: No. Puzzled Escape rooms also reserves the right to remove patrons found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
